Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
Well, this story starts off with two young girls racing in a famous sport called cross country. An then one girl gets hurt, and guess what happens?

It starts off with two girls racing. They both had a equal record. Whoever was the winner of that race was going to the state championships. Deb, who was a more experienced runner was ahead of Jenna a sompmore student. Deb was running and her stomach started to hurt. Her doctors said it was like a broken bone. So shes there on the floor crying in pain. And Jenna could actually win this race, but she does not continue. She picks Deb up gently and walks at first, but then started jogging. They jogged it together to the finish line. But Jenna pushed Deb one step ahead of her and Deb won the race. Th crowd started in cheer but finished in tears.

"If you do what's right, you have no need to fear."
ANON
This quote means so much if you are one of those people who do wrong. If you do good you will worry about nothing. But of you do bad you will worry about every little thing. So lets say a student does his homework all the time, and still is. And another student who rarely does it. That kid who doesn't do it has to fear or worry about that. He will have to worry about the teacher sending him to the office or calling his parents. So remember this, if you do good you will never have to worry about the past. But if you do something bad you will always worry and watch your back! Always do the right, rather than do the wrong.

"So often, in our quest to be more popular and to be part of the "in-group," we lose sight of things that are far more important."
Sean Covey

What this quote means is that we lose ourselves upon personal objectives to fulfill. We then lose what we intentionally intended to do. The human brain doesn't remember everything, so we lose track of what we had to do. So most humans seek popularity often forget about their real friends from the beginning. An example could be of my good friend Christian V. He was one of my best friends. He then tried out for basketball. And our friendship slowly faded. Now I see him only in my classes. I used hangout with him during lunch,  but now that he is part of the team I really don't anymore. So, he wanted to be in the "in-group" and he became popular. And we slowly still till this day, our friendship fades. So hopefully Christian V. you know who you are, I hope you actually read this and say "what's up!"

"Keep your eye on the prize."

What this means is that you have to do what you want to accomplish. Like for example I want to be a federal agent or either a doctor. So in order for me to do that I must stay in school, stay out of trouble, and get help others who have first hand experience. So this means to keep an eye on what you would like to do.

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong."
Wilford Woodruff

This quote is is absolutely correct. If you do whats right you will have evrything you possibly wanted. But id you choose the wrong, you will get nothing. So if you do not believe in this quote, I believe you have gotten nothing. What I mean by nothing is that you have done something wrong and didn't achieve anything. But let's say you have done right, you will be flourished with gifts, such as respect, honesty, loyalty, and much more.

"It's not WHERE you live but HOW you live that counts. It's not where you play the game but HOW you play the game that counts.
-Mr. Haymore
This quote by my New MEdia teacher means everything to evrybody. You can straighten out your life if you follow this quote. An example would be if you play a sport. Your not only going to play well for where you represent. But maybe you go on another team, so you will play outstanding for them too. What I'm trying to say is that your not just goin got waste you talent. So, back to where this can straighten out your life. If you Choose the right, follow every rule, and obide by them; you will be successful. Another example could be when your slacking off in class, bur remember; it's how you work and respect the rules that decide your future. So, if your slacking off in class; you have no bright future. But if your doing right; you have a outstanding bright furture and have endless possibilities !
So, if you do the right, you have nothing to worry about.

"It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and (to make) unpopular that which is unsound (and not good)."
Joseph Smith

What this quote means is that to focus on the good things but not the bad. I mean it is common sense to do good rather than bad. If you are one of those people who constantly choose the wrong I think you are dumd or something. Your are just ruining someone else's day just because you did wrong. But if you do good and choose the right, I wish I could shake your had right now. Hopefully you stay on that path and don't go off track. So either way, if you are on the wrong path I encourage you to go on the right path while you still can!

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right."
Howard Cosell

What this quote means it that when something is popular it isn't right. But what is right isn't popular.

An example would be that most kids do what what others kids do. Lets sya drugs for instance. One kid tries it, then others will most likely follow him. In other words, someone smokes a cigarratte, then others will ask and follow the first user

Another example would be if someone dress unappropiate, the others will follow. What I mean by dressing unappropiate is that some people don't use a belt and sag. Others may wear really short dresses. And also some people hardly wear clothes that cover their chest's and up.

To sum up, people tend to follow others for the wrong purpose.

But some people actually do choose the right. They follow instructions and turn in work. They are the future key holders for our future. Hopefully they stay on the right path!

“The time is always right to do what is right.”

-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Well, in my opinion I think is absolutely positively correct in every manner! I know this may sound kind of weird at first but if you really understand this quote you will question what every little objective or choice you make will affect you. So there is a wrong time for something and a good time for a positive time. So no matter what you do, there will always be a negative a positive time.
