What this quote means is that you need to have dedication and the mentality to accomplish what you want to become. You cannot be doing half of the work all the time, you need to do one hundred percent all the time. So, never take your eye off the ball. You need to perform greatly to be something!

What this quote means is that you should always do the right thing. You cannot do anything without concentrating. Without concentrating your mind will be all over the place. And without your mind, you cannot accomplish anything. So, concentrate. An example would be a student slacking off in class. The student is not concentrating, so that is why he slacks off. So, remember to concentrate and choose the right!
