Pat attention to what's right and what's wrong.
I think what this means is that if you choose the right and do well you will feel good in the inside. But if you choose the wrong and behave immature you will feel disordered and feel outraged! But basically what this quote by Ernest Hemingwsay meant was that, if you do what your told to do without hesitation you will be okay. But if you do the opposite and misbehave, you basically indeed in deep trouble! CTR
