7. Apply to four to six colleges that interest you, do not wait until just before the deadline
8. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible
9. Review your SAR (Student Aid Report) and if you make corrections return it as soon as possible
10. Get a summer job to earn money for college
