Sportsmanship/ Fair/ Just

Sportsmanship/ Fair/ Just

What are some examples of Good Sportsmanship?
  • helping a teammate
  • helping a rival player
  • not cheating
  • playing by the rules
  • good orderly conduct
  • no vulgar language
  • being polite and courteous to others
  • respect the game officials
  • respect their calls
What are the benefits of showing Good Sportsmanship?
  • Being respected back
  • people know your fair
  • good/positive  compliments about you
  • everyone will want you to play for them

Bad Sportsmanship

Why do people demonstrate unsportsmanlike conduct?
People do this for many obvious reasons.
  • to win
  • to show they are competitive
  • to show no fear
  • to make contestants/ teams fear them
  • to show they are disrespectful
  • Maybe even to blow off some stem or anger. This reason might be because they have been losing so many games.

Fair/ Just
What does it mean to play fair, to be fair and just?

What it means to play fair is that you play by the rules without cheating. Lots of people think they play fair, but they actually don't because they cheat!

Why is it so important to be fair and just?
It is important to be fair and just because you will feel right in your insides; your conscious that is. You will feel no guilt. And to make matters more positive, you will have everyone's respect. And with respect you have honor!
